For several years, we hosted shows at Ricky's Lincoln Park. On a Wednesday in January 1999, the Motown groups The Contours and The Miracles came to the nightclub for a rehearsal. We heard the Miracles sing "Shop Around", "You've Really Got A Hold On Me", Mickey's Monkey", "I Second That Emotion" and "Love Machine (Part I)" and The Contours sing "First I Look at the Purse", "Just a Little Misunderstanding ", "Can You Jerk Like Me", "Shake Sherry", "Whole Lotta Woman" and, of course, their biggest selling hit "Do You Love Me."
